Novel Planning & Drafting Help
You have an idea for a book.
Huzzah!
But maybe you don’t know how to begin or wonder if you can really make it happen.
Short answer: You can.
None of your favorite authors simply knew how to write a novel.
They learned.
Just like you will — by doing.
But maybe that’s not you.
Instead, you have great story ideas and write them, but you’ve yet to complete a manuscript.
Or
Perhaps you’ve been reworking those first three chapters for years, or you get to a certain word count only to flame out and get distracted by another shiny story idea.
Do you find yourself saying, “What’s the point?” or some version of “It’s a pipe dream anyway”? Does “Who am I to write a book?” or “What could I possibly have to say or add…” ever come up?
You’re not alone.
Finishing a novel is hard. Finishing a novel that “works” is even harder.
I’ve been there. There have been many times the word count in my cuts file equaled that of my work-in-progress. It feels … frustrating. Sometimes infuriating.
If you desire to finish a manuscript and the process you’ve been using doesn’t work, it’s time for a different approach.
No matter if you are just starting or have been trying to write a book for years, my Novel Planning and Drafting Package will give you the support you need: accountability, story framework, editorial feedback, and mindset coaching as you write forward until you type
“The End.”
“Working with Stacy has made me a better writer — my characters are stronger, my scenes are tighter, and more emotion is making its way onto the page. As a writer, sometimes you need a cheerleader, and sometimes you need tough love. Stacy knows just when to deliver each, so I stay motivated while teasing out the best story possible. I’m so thankful to have her in my corner.”

Novel Planning & Drafting Package
(appropriate for pantsers and plotters)
Includes:
Overall assessment of your project. I want to know your goals, strengths & struggles.
Foundational assessment using Author Accelerator’s Signature Blueprint For A Book Process: Includes nailing down your why, the message of your story, and POV/narration choice. A review of story structure, exercises for deep character development, and worldbuilding. And finally, you will build a flexible scene outline (an invaluable tool to have in revision) to ensure you have a solid framework with a clear cause-and-effect trajectory to support your story.
Submit up to 25 pages (this is usually the equivalent of 2-3 chapters, but varies by writer) twice a month on a deadline schedule. This way, you are always moving forward, even if we decide you need to rework a chapter. And do not panic at the 25 pages! If you submit less, it’s okay.
Editorial feedback and in-line comments on your submission so you know when you are nailing it and what needs more focus.
A 1-hour coaching session following each deadline via Zoom to ensure we are on track, review progress and next steps, and work on mindset wobbles.
Also includes:
Unlimited email support in between submissions.
Recording of each book coaching session for you to keep forever.
Access to a shared Google drive where we store your work-in-progress report and all other related documents.
Curated reading recommendations on craft based on your writer’s journey.
Investment: $750 per month
Coaching is month-to-month with no minimum commitment, but a rough draft typically takes at least six to nine months to complete.
