Celebrating One Year of Writing Wins: Write It Scared Podcast + Giveaway for Fiction Writers

This spring has been bananas, and I almost let a major milestone pass by unnoticed.

But you know how I always say to celebrate your wins—even the messy, imperfect ones? Well, here I am taking my own advice. (Pot, meet kettle.)

🎉 The Write It Scared Podcast Turned ONE Last Month! 🎉

That’s one whole year.

52 episodes packed with honest conversations about craft, mindset, publishing, and the messy, brave act of writing the stories we care about.

How It All Started

If you’ve been around since the early days of Write It Scared, you might remember the baby steps I took to launching the podcast: The IG Lives (oh, the bloopers), then a private podcast, and eventually...this public, imperfect, slightly terrifying platform that has become something I love, that now inspires and empowers other writers!

The podcast seed was planted almost a decade ago—born from my own questions as an aspiring author. I wanted to learn how to write and publish a novel, and what started as a way to find answers bloomed into a platform to help other writers do the same.

And yes, I was scared every step of the way. Because creating something new is vulnerable AF. But with support, encouragement, and a lot of deep breaths—I did it anyway.

That’s the spirit behind Write It Scared. And that’s the energy I want to pass on to you.

Let’s Celebrate with a Giveaway!

To mark one brave year of podcasting and to celebrate listeners and all the beautiful guests that come on the show, I’m giving away:

  • THREE 90-minute Plot Sprint coaching sessions

  • My favorite writing mindset resource

  • A surprise gift just for showing up

What’s a Plot Sprint?

It’s a focused, 90-minute 1:1 coaching session where we roll up our sleeves and dig into your story. Whether you're just getting started, stuck in the messy middle, rethinking your ending, or heading into revision—this session is designed to help.

You’ll walk away with:
